MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Women's Basketball team (5-5, 3-1 PBC) outpaced the USC Aiken Pacers (6-4, 3-2 PBC) Wednesday evening 74-65 in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) action at the Centennial Center.

In as balanced of a performance as the offense has had all season, the Bobcats featured four players scoring in double figures. Starters Erin Drynan (Chicago, Illinios), Jasmine McSwain (Marietta) and Sydney Cleveland (Gainesville) all reached the mark, while Shay Tarver (Covington) led all scorers off the bench.

Drynan and McSwain held down the front line for Georgia College, with each coming just a few rebounds short of a double-double. Drynan poured in a team-high 12 points to go alone with six rebounds and a block. McSwain scored 10 and led the team in rebounds with seven.

Georgia College held a 27-23 lead at the break in a low-scoring defensive battle. Each team's offense made adjustments in the second half, as the 20-point mark was reached in each of the final two quarters for both teams.

McSwain and Cassidy Markle (Cumming) scored six points apiece in the third quarter and Sadie Cleveland (Gainesville) cashed in on a crucial pair of threes in the final frame, helping to keep the GC advantage late. With seven in the fourth, Sadie Cleveland finished with nine points in 15 minutes of action.

USC Aiken extended the game by executing multiple intentional fouls, sending various Bobcats to the line.  With McSwain and Sydney Cleveland perfect from the stripe, the Bobcats hit 11-of-16 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the game.

The Bobcats end the calendar year with their fourth straight victory and return to action Jan. 5 at 1:30 p.m. when they travel to St. Augustine, Florida to take on PBC-foe Flagler College.
