MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Brandi McKinney (Cincinnati) has been named Georgia College Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. She was crucial in the Bobcats' performance in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Women's Basketball Tournament.  It was Georgia Colleges' first appearance in the PBC Tournament since 2011, when they won it all.

McKinney scored a combined 51 points in the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games. She also had 19 total rebounds, eight assists and 12 steals. Her 18 points and two three-pointers helped the Bobcats win against East top-seed Armstrong Atlantic State University in the quarterfinals Thursday. She logged 30 minutes and led the team in assists with five and steals with three.

McKinney also helped lead the team to victory in the semifinal game against No. 23 University of North Georgia.  In her 27 minutes of play, she co-lead the team in points with 21, and led the team in rebounds with eight and steals with five.  In the championship game loss against Columbus State University, McKinney led the team in steals with four and points at 12 in her 26 minutes of play.

McKinney ranks in the top-10 in five different PBC categories. She is 10th in points with 399, third in three-pointers with 58, fourth in three-point percentage at .367, ninth in free throw percentage at .790 and third in steals with 68.  Her performance this season gave the Bobcats an impressive run for the PBC Tournament, landing the senior a spot on the PBC All-Tournament Team.
