LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Georgia College softball team (30-12, 12-4 PBC) has earned its first spot in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Rankings coming in at No. 21. The Bobcats surged into the top-25 after sweeping then-No. 19 Columbus State University in a pair of road games last week.

The Bobcats had earned votes in each of the previous two polls before being named No. 21. The Bobcats are among the four teams from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in the top-25, with Armstrong at No. 3, the University of North Georgia at No. 6 and Columbus State at No. 24.

The University of Indianapolis remains in the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row and West Texas A&M remains in the No. 2 spot.

The Bobcats have a 6-3 record against ranked opponents this season, including wins against Columbus State and North Georgia.

Georgia College softball will return to action today, April 10 at 5 p.m. when they welcome USC Aiken to the Peeler Complex.
