Georgia College Men’s Tennis Jumps Three Spots to #22 in ITA National Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Georgia College Men's Tennis team (11-10) jumped three spots to No. 22 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Team Rankings, released Wednesday.

The Bobcats are one of eight Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams ranked in the top 50 by the ITA, with Columbus State University at No. 3, Lander University at No. 4, Flagler College at No. 7, USC Aiken at No. 13, Young Harris College at No. 23, Francis Marion University at No. 27 and the University of North Georgia at No. 43. The Bobcats are 11-10 overall with a 5-4 conference record.

Senior Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain) comes in at the No. 16 slot on the individual national ranks. Ecenarro is 14-4 in singles play this season, with a 7-2 PBC record.

The Bobcats' top doubles pairing of junior Jannik Kumbier (Neumunster, Germany) and sophomore Robin Moller (Hamburg, Germany) jumps two places, taking the No. 24 spot. Kumbier and Moller are 12-7 this season. 

The Bobcats are back in action Monday, April 30 against Lander in the NCAA Southeast Regional II.
