MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – After a week of rest, the Georgia College golf team stayed put in the No. 4 slot in the Division II Regional Golf Rankings. GC Golf is a member of the Southeast Region.

The Bobcats are behind fellow Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members USC Aiken and Columbus State University, ranked No. 1 and No. 3 respectively. Belmont Abbey College comes in at No. 2 in the latest rankings. Three more PBC teams made the top 10, with Armstrong at No. 4, Georgia Southwestern State University at No. 7, and Clayton State University coming in at No. 10. Filling in the gaps is No. 6 Barton College, Mount Olive College at No. 8, followed by No. 9 Erskine College

The top seven teams of each region poll get an automatic bid into the regional tournament. Each conference champion gets a berth in the regional tournament. If Georgia College does not win the PBC Tournament, they could still get into the region tournament if they remain in the top seven of the regional rankings.

The Bobcats will play in the PBC Tournament Apr. 20 and 21 in Pine Mountain, Ga.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
