Former GCSU Cheerleader Chosen Upson County Manager


THOMASTON, Ga. - Former Georgia College & State University cheerleader and assistant coach Kyle Hood was recently tabbed for the Upson County Manager position, the County Board of Commissioners announced recently.

Hood was an active member of the cheerleading squad as an undergrad, then switched to an assistant coach role as a graduate student. He also served the sports information office as a graduate assistant in charge of marketing and promotions for one school year.

Hood, 24, graduated from Georgia College & State University in May of 2008 with a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in state and local government.
