AIKEN, S.C. – With an offense that ranks among the nation's best, the No. 28 Georgia College baseball team (33-14) was rewarded with three members on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams, announced Friday night at the Annual PBC Baseball Awards Banquet.

Outfielder Jake Sandlin (Evans, Ga.) and catcher Steve Hazel (Kentwood, Mich.) earned slots on the first team, while first baseman Clay Ardeeser (Loganville, Ga.) took a second-team spot.

Sandlin earns a spot on the all-conference team for his second-straight year, after hitting .366 with 53 runs, five home runs and 51 RBI. The sophomore was a second-team selection a year ago. Sandlin is the first two-time All-PBC selection in the Bobcat outfield since Shawn Ward in 2010 and 2011.

Hazel takes his first All-PBC honor, and is hitting .389 with 42 runs, 12 home runs and 50 RBI. The junior slugger ranks second in the PBC in home runs and seventh in batting average. Hazel is the first Bobcat catcher to earn All-PBC since Richard Pirkle in 2011.

Ardeeser makes it back-to-back seasons on the All-PBC Second Team, thanks to a .433 batting average 55 runs scored, nine home runs and 59 RBI. The junior leads the Peach Belt in batting average, and ranks second in RBI. Ardeeser is the first two-time pick at first base in Georgia College history.

The three gives Georgia College 67 All-PBC awards all-time. The Bobcats have won 26 in head coach Tom Carty's seven seasons.

The Bobcats begin the defense of their PBC Tournament title tomorrow, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. as the No. 4-seed, taking on No. 5-seed UNC Pembroke.
