Women’s Cross Country Wraps up Season 10th at Regionals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Georgia College women's cross country team saw their season come to a close in Charlotte, N.C. Saturday, Nov. 9. The Bobcats finished 10th in the field of 31 teams at the NCAA Southeast Regional, hosted by Queens University.

Sophomore Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.) led the Bobcats at the Regionals for the second straight year, this time with a 31st place finish among 211 competitors. She posted a time of 23:22 which ranks fourth in school history. Classmate Lena White (Smyrna, Ga.) crossed the line in 49th place with a time of 23:58, the ninth best time in the school recordbooks.

Finishing only 2 seconds behind White was Rachel Pasko (Jefferson, Ga.). She finished in 52nd place with a time of 24:00, tying for 10th in the school's all-time 6K list.

Meghan Wetterhall (Atlanta) was the fourth Bobcat to finish, posting a time of 24:47, good for 77th place. Freshman Bekah Houston (Dalton, Ga.) finished in 100th place with a time of 25:17.

This was the last race of the season for the 2013 Bobcats, who had one team title to go along with three second place finishes this year.
