GC Women’s Cross Country Ranked #10 in Region

NEW ORLEANS – The most recent regional rankings from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) were released Tuesday and the women’s cross country team was ranked No. 10.  The men’s squad had previously been ranked No. 10 but fell off the current rankings. This is the third consecutive week that the Bobcats have been on the USTFCCCA Southeast Regional Rankings.

Five other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members joined the Bobcats in current ranks. UNC Pembroke maintained the No. 1 spot again this week, a spot they’ve held since the week one rankings were released Sept. 18. Clayton State University moved up one and now holds the No. 3 rank in the Southeast Region. Columbus State University also moved up one spot to No. 4.

Flagler College was No. 7 on the most reason rankings, falling one position from last week. The University of Montevallo also fell one spot and came in at No. 9.

Georgia College will be back in action this Friday as they travel to Augusta, Ga. to compete in the Jaguar Invitational.
