Georgia College Athletics Puts 96 on PBC Presidential Honor Roll
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 96 Georgia College student-athletes making the list. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2012-13 academic year.

Roeck and Women’s Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic
NEW ORLEANS – The Georgia College women’s cross country team was recently named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic List. Freshman Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.) also earned a spot on the individual All-Academic List for the USTFCCCA.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Georgia College women’s cross country team made the trip to Charlotte, N.C. Saturday, Nov. 3 for the NCAA Southeast Regional 6K race. The Bobcats finished ninth of 27 competing teams.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – In a night filled with ghosts, goblins and ghouls, members of the Georgia College baseball, softball and cross country teams entertained the Milledgeville youth Tuesday night with the Third Annual Halloween on the Hill at John Kurtz Field.

GC Cross Country Gears Up For Regionals
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College cross country will compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals Saturday, Nov. 3 when they make the trip to Charlotte, N.C. The women’s team will run a 6K race, while the men will run a 10K.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The Georgia College women's cross country team was chosen seventh in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Coaches Preseason Poll, but came away with a fifth place finish in the PBC Championship Saturday, Oct. 20 in Montevallo, Ala. A trio of Bobcat runners led the team.

Third Annual Halloween on the Hill Set for Oct. 30
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – With the holiday for ghosts and goblins quickly approaching, Georgia College baseball head coach Tom Carty would like to add second basemen and pitchers to the list of Halloween characters. The Bobcat baseball program is partnering up with GC Student Health Services, Bobcat softball, golf and cross country for "Halloween on the Hill" Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m.

This is the fourth-straight week that women’s cross country has been ranked in the southeast region.

Walk-On Among Three Top-20 Finishers for Bobcat Women at Jaguar Invitational
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Georgia College women’s cross country is in the process of gearing up for the Peach Belt Conference Championships (PBC) and they may have just found reinforcements. Sophomore Lena White (Smyrna, Ga.), a walk-on added to the team after the season was already underway earned a top-20 finish in her first collegiate race, helping lead the squad to a third place finish at the Jaguar Invitational, hosted by Augusta State University.

GC Women’s Cross Country Ranked #10 in Region
NEW ORLEANS – The most recent regional rankings from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) were released Tuesday and the women’s cross country team was ranked No. 10. The men’s squad had previously been ranked No. 10 but fell off the current rankings. This is the third week in a row that the Bobcats have been ranked in the USTFCCCA Southeast Regional Rankings.

GC Women's Cross Country Competes in Roy Griak Invitational
MINNEAPOLIS - Georgia College women's cross country saw themselves jump into the regional ranks despite having a very young team; Saturday Sept. 29 that young team traveled to Minneapolis to compete in a 6K race hosted by the University of Minnesota. The Roy Griak Invitational consisted of 413 runners, with the Bobcats taking 27th out of 38 teams.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Both Make Regional Ranks
NEW ORLEANS – The first Southeast Region ranks for the 2012 season from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) were released Tuesday featuring both sides of the cross country program for Georgia College. Neither program was ranked in the preseason polls, but both jumped into the top-10 for the first in-season rankings.

Women’s Cross Country Continues to Impress, Finishes Second
MACON, Ga. – Georgia College women’s cross country made the short trip to Macon, Ga. Saturday to compete in the Mercer RunFit Invitational. The Bobcats had an extremely successful day as a team, coming in second out of 19 teams.

Roeck Runs Away With Bobcat Athlete of the Week Award
MILLEDGEVILLE- Ga. – Freshman Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.) of the Georgia College cross country team was named the second Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the school year for her efforts at the Fordham Fiasco in the Bronx, N.Y. Roeck is the first member of the women’s cross country team to be chosen as the Bobcat Athlete of the Week since Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) won the award Oct. 24, 2010.

Bobcat Freshmen Impress at Fordham Fiasco
BRONX, N.Y. - It didn’t take long for the newest members of the women’s cross country team to make an impact, as Taylor Roeck (Cumming, Ga.), Meghan Wetterhall (Atlanta) and Whitney Sweet (Roswell, Ga.) were the first three Bobcats to finish the Fordham Fiasco on a rainy Saturday morning.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Georgia College’s home cross country event, the Bobcat Invitational, originally scheduled for Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances regarding the teams involved. No make up date will be scheduled.

GC Athletics “The Prowl” Radio Show to Air Live Tuesday at Zaxby’s
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Athletic Department is teaming with Zaxby’s to host the “The Prowl” Radio show, a once-a-month look inside GC Athletics. The show will air on ESPN 1450AM and broadcast live Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. from Zaxby’s on North Columbia Street as part of the monthly “Meet the Bobcats Night” in the restaurant.
