Lones Leads the Way Again for GC


BOSTON The Georgia College women's cross country team and sophomore Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) paced their way to a 16th place finish at the 32nd Annual Codfish Bowl Cross Country Races in Boston Saturday afternoon.  

Lones led all Bobcat runners for the fourth time this season with her 50th place finish, completing the 5K course in 20:50. 

Following Lones were teammates Rebecca Shane (Lilburn, Ga.) and Victoria Dobson (New Hamburg, Ontario), finishing 84th and 85th, respectively. 

Shane and Dobson finished the course simultaneously at 22:04, slightly ahead of a slew of 22:05 times. 

Asthon Passino (Alpharetta, Ga.) came in 93rd place for the Bobcats, slightly behind her duo of teammates with a time of 22:16.


Rounding-out the scoring for GC was senior Karissa Ekstrom (Alpharetta, Ga.), who finished 113th with a time of 23:05.


Georgia College will enjoy a week off before competing in Augusta State Invitational Saturday, Oct. 8 in Augusta, Ga.
