YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Georgia College women’s cross country ran to a second place finish Saturday at the YHC Invitational hosted by Young Harris College.
Freshman Allison Lones (Kathleen, Ga.) set the pace for the Bobcats for the third time this season, finishing third overall in 21:14. Junior Karissa Ekstrom (Alpharetta, Ga.) took fourth place, finishing 12 seconds behind Lones.
Freshman Andrea Byrnes (Snellville, Ga.) crossed the finish line at 22:15, taking 10th, while freshman Ashton Passino (Alpharetta, Ga.) finished 17th with a time of 23:02. Senior Alex Taylor (Marietta, Ga.) finished 20th with a time of 23:44.
Berry College won the team title with 24 total points. Georgia College finished in second with 50 points and Young Harris College took third with 53 points. Berry’s Courtney Cooper won the individual title with a time of 20:40.
The Bobcats are back in action Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. at the ASU Tri-Meet in Augusta, Ga.
