Georgia College Harriers, Golfer Added to PBC Honor Roll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University department of athletics added 29 student-athletes to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Honor Roll taking the total number of honorees to 110, the most of any school in the league.

This season, the PBC divided the group into four levels by GPA, as all students between 3.00 and 3.24 are Presidential Scholars, 3.25 to 3.49 are Bronze Scholars, 3.50 to 3.74 are Silver Scholars and 3.75 to 4.00 are Gold Scholars.

For the fourth-straight year, Bobcat soccer had the most on GCSU's list with 27, also the third-best per-roster member ratio of 90 percent (27/30). Women's cross country had the second-most honorees with 15, followed by men's cross country with 14. The women's harriers also posted the best team ratio at 94 percent (15/16), while Golf had the second-best percentage at 91 (10/11). GCSU had 19 Gold Scholars, 29 Silver Scholars, 29 Bronze Scholars and 33 Presidential Scholars.

Due to a clerical error at GCSU, the men's and women's cross country honorees and one golfer were left off the original list. A listing of the omissions is below, visit HERE for a list of the previously-named honorees.
