MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball program and head coach Gretchen Krumdieck released the 2018 schedule Thursday, with seven chances for Bobcat Nation to catch the defending NCAA Tournament qualifiers in the Centennial Center.
The year starts with a trip to the NorCal Volleyball Classic in Turlock, California Aug. 24-25
After two more tournaments, the Bobcats play their first of seven matches at home. Georgia College faces Albany State University in non-conference action at home Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) lid-lifter comes next Sept. 22 at home against defending PBC Champion Flagler College.
"The Bobcats are back and ready to take on 2018 with the same passion and fire from our 2017 season," said Krumdieck. "We are starting off with a great opportunity in California before getting into Regional and Conference play. This team is motivated to challenging ourselves and looking forward to competing for a Peach Belt title. All of our student-athletes have been preparing over the summer and looking forward to getting back on the court."
Other highlights include Sea of Green Night Tuesday, Sept. 25 against Augusta University and Senior Day Saturday, Oct. 27 against Francis Marion University.
The Bobcats went 24-8 last season, setting a program record for wins and taking runner-up honors at the PBC Tournament. The Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time, picking up a first-round victory over conference foe USC Aiken as well.
