AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released the first round of weekly volleyball honors of the new season Wednesday, with Georgia College junior Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) taking home the PBC Specialist of the Week.
Brockway guided the Bobcats to a 3-1 record at their season-opening Bobcat Classic. The junior setter, averaged 10.38 assists per set. She had 44 assists in GC's 3-1 win over Valdosta State University and 37 more in a sweep of Lees-McRae College. Brockway also added 3.23 digs per set including 15 against Anderson University. Brockway is currently third in the PBC in assists per set and 11th in digs per set.
Brockway takes in the first weekly conference specialist honor for GC Volleyball since she won it Sept. 22, 2015.
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m., playing host to the University of West Georgia.
