GC Volleyball to Host Salute to Service Day Saturday
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – As if triple-header volleyball wasn't enough, action in the Centennial Center Saturday, Sept. 14 at noon will also promote a Salute to Service Professionals thanks to the Georgia College sports marketing class dubbed "Service on and off the Court".
All firemen, police officers, EMTs and other service professionals will be eligible for raffles for gift cards to Firehouse Subs. In addition, the Baldwin County Fire Department will have a fire truck on hand for youngsters to check out and for photo opportunities.
The Bobcats are 1-4 after a tough series of matches at the UWG Invitational last weekend. Each of the four losses was close in score, so the young Bobcat squad will have something to build upon this week. As a part of the triple-header, Georgia College faces fellow first-year program Columbus State University in a Peach Belt Conference (PBC) contest at noon, followed by CSU taking on the University of West Georgia at 2 p.m. the final match is UWG and the Bobcats at 4 p.m.
