SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its most recent region rankings Wednesday, with Georgia College Women's Tennis taking No. 4 in the Southeast Region.
The Bobcats make the jump up one spot from fifth in the previous region list. The three schools ahead are all Peach Belt Conference (PBC) competition, with Armstrong Atlantic State University, Columbus State University and Flagler College positioned above the Bobcats.
Freshman first singles player Macy Polk (Powder Springs, Ga.) continues to gain regional notice, holding on to a spot in the singles list as the No. 12 player in the region. Polk is 7-4 on the season, including a 3-2 PBC mark.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
