Ga. – Senior Kayla Barksdale (Augusta, Ga.) of the Georgia
College women’s tennis team has been named the Bobcat Athlete
of the Week after her performance during the week ending March
“She’s a great kid, having a great senior year,” said head coach Steve Barsby. “I’m very happy that she received recognition for that.”
Barksdale went 3-0 in the No. 3 singles slot, having her best week of the 2013 spring season. She won all three of her matches in straight sets, only losing eight points all week.
