#22 Bobcats Host Senior Day

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The No. 22 Georgia College & State University women's tennis team (7-9, 4-5 PBC) will host "Senior Day" tomorrow, April 9 against Clark Atlanta University.

The Bobcats have two seniors on the squad. Gabby Acuna (Peachtree City, Ga.) and Marjorie Ceppo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) will be recognized before the matches start at 1 p.m.

Acuna enters the day with a 7-9 singles mark, battling in the fourth slot for GCSU. At first singles, No. 47 Ceppo is even at 8-8 on the year. The twosome competes at first doubles for a 6-10 record on the 2009 campaign.

Acuna is a four-year member of the Georgia College tennis squad, going 44-41 in spring singles play. Ceppo, was a starter from the moment she stepped on the GCSU campus as a sophomore in 2007. She is 37-23 in her singles career and was named All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in doubles in 2007, and picked up Preseason All-PBC honors this year.

Georgia College faces PBC rival North Georgia on the road Friday, April 10 at 4:30 p.m. The Bobcats will then participate in the PBC Tournament hosted by Clayton State University set for April 17-20.
