AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) has announced its six member women's tennis Preseason All-Conference team today (Jan. 30).
The team was voted on by the league's Sports Information Directors. The defending Division II National Champions, Armstrong Atlantic State University, led the team with two honorees while Georgia College & State University, Columbus State University, Clayton State University and Francis Marion University had one each.
Senior Marjorie Ceppo (San Paulo, Brazil) was the only Bobcat to make the squad. Ceppo was also 16-8 in doubles play, including 13-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Armstrong Atlantic's Gabriella Kovacs and Alida Muller-Wehlau both made the unit. Roxana Dondera represents her Cougars of Columbus State. Clayton State's Viktoriya Semyrodenko and Tereza Sykorova of Francis Marion round out the team.
The Bobcats first match will be against PBC rival, Georgia Southwestern Sunday, Feb. 1 in Americus, Ga.
