MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Recent Georgia College Soccer graduate Millie York (2015-16) has recently taken a position as a graduate assistant coach with the women's soccer program at Augsburg College.
A Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Academic Team selection last year, York was a key piece of the defensive backfield for two seasons for Bobcat Soccer, including starts in all 16 matches her senior season.
"I am very excited for Millie on her new coaching position," said Bobcat Soccer head coach Hope Clark. "She is going to have a positive impact on her student-athletes and athletic department. Myself and her teammates are very proud of her accomplishment and wish her much success in her next step towards reaching her dream. Augsburg College made a fantastic hire in Millie, she will represent them well on and off the playing field."
Augsburg is a member of the NCAA Division III, and the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). While assisting the coaching staff, York will pursue a Master of Arts in Leadership.
