AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the Preseason Coaches Poll for women's soccer Tuesday, with Georgia College earning the sixth spot.
The Bobcats had a total of 76 points, almost 20 points more than seventh-ranked UNC Pembroke. The No. 1 position went to the PBC Tournament Champions Clayton State University, picking up 115 points to edge the regular season co-champions Columbus State University.
Georgia College had a third-place vote and four fifth-place votes en route to their 76 total points.
The Bobcats begin their 2014 campaign at Florida Southern College Friday, Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Their first home match will be during the annual Bobcat Shootout against the University North Alabama Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
