MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Despite two more wins last week, the Georgia College soccer team (10-8-1) hung on to the No. 9 spot in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Region Rankings.
The region poll is dominated by Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools, as seven of the 10 teams listed come from conference schools.
Armstrong is listed No. 1 with Lenoir-Rhyne University second and Columbus State University in No. 3. The Bobcats are just ahead of No. 10 Catawba College.
The season has come to a close for GC soccer, a 2012 campaign featuring wins over three nationally-ranked opponents among the school’s 10-8-1 record. The Bobcats picked up double-digit victories for the first time since 2009.
