MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College soccer Peach Belt Conference (PBC) home opener against Lander University Wednesday, Sept. 19 should provide some extra fun for Bobcat Nation. University President Dr. Steve Dorman will host the GC community for a picnic prior to the event, which will also serve as "Green-Out Night" for Bobcat soccer.
The game, set for 7 p.m., features two highly-competitive teams as the Bobcats and Bearcats have played nine matches all-time, with GC owning a slight 4-2-3 advantage. Dr. Dorman will host "Soccer and Socialize" for faculty, staff and students at the West Campus Pavilion at 5 p.m., leading right until game time.
Bobcat Nation will be encouraged to wear their green gear, and those in green will receive double points for signing in at the Bobcat Fan Rewards tent. In addition, the Thunder Crew student spirit group will give free ice cream at halftime to all GC students in attendance wearing green.
