MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College athletic department is proud to announce that all home games during the 2012 Women’s soccer season will be available to watch through the Bobcat Ustream channel.

The expansion of broadcasts comes from a continued effort to increase focus on new media and to make it easier for Georgia College fans, family and friends to follow Bobcat sports. Games can be viewed at www.Ustream.tv/GCBobcats.

“We’re thrilled about the addition of soccer to our video lineup on Ustream,” said Al Weston GC Sports Information Director. “Our audio broadcasts in the past have been great, but the ability to add HD-quality video to the mix is very exciting. Students will run the broadcasts, so it also aligns with educational experiences here at Georgia College.”

This is the second year that the Bobcats have teamed with Ustream for live broadcasts, but the first year that will provide live audio and video for home soccer matches.

The first home game will be Friday, Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m. followed by another game Sept. 9 at 12:30 p.m. with both games being part of the Bobcat Shootout at Bobcat Field. There will be nine additional games broadcast on Ustream, including a match up against Peach Belt Conference (PBC) preseason No. 4 Clayton State University Sept. 29 and Senior Day against Flagler College Oct. 27. Select away games will also be available as audio-only broadcasts on Ustream.
