MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore Haley
O’Hayer (Savannah, Ga.) of the GC soccer team
(7-7-2, 4-4-2 PBC) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the
week ending Oct. 31. This marks the first such honor for
O’Hayer and the fourth for the Bobcat soccer team this
season.
The forward netted her first career goal at Georgia College as the
Bobcats and the Pacers of USC Aiken went into double overtime
ending in a 1-1 draw.
The ‘Cats square off against the Saints of North Georgia
(13-4, 7-3 PBC) Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. in Dahlonega, Ga. in
the opening round of the Peach Belt Tournament. The winner advances
to the Final Four in Evans, Ga. and will play the winner of the
Armstrong Atlantic/Clayton State University matchup.
