MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University soccer team (4-3, 1-0 PBC) will hold “March of Dimes Night” Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. against the Lander University Bearcats at Bobcat Field.
March of Dimes’ mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects and low birth weight.
Georgia College welcomes Jennifer Simmons, the March of Dimes community director, to Bobcat field to speak about the program at halftime. There will also be a Belk’s promotion to support the March of Dimes. The tickets are $5 and the buyer gets $5 off their purchase at all Belk’s stores on Nov 6th.
