MARTINEZ, Ga.- Freshman Brittaney Borror (Evans, Ga.) of the Georgia College soccer team (7-3, 4-0 PBC) was named Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Player of the Week along with being named GC’s Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 10. Both awards mark the first such honors for Borror. The school award is the third for the Bobcats this season, while the PBC award is the second for Georgia College.

The freshman midfielder led the Bobcats with five points this past week as she recorded two goals and an assist. Borror put the Bobcats on the scoreboard first against No. 8 Armstrong Atlantic with a first-half goal. The win makes the Bobcats 2-0 against nationally-ranked programs this season. In the 4-1 victory over Clayton State University, Borror assisted Megan McAlpin (Newnan, Ga.) and later scored on an unassisted strike. Borror has now recorded goals in each of the last four games.
Bobcat soccer squares off with No. 25 North Georgia this evening on the road at 5 p.m.
