Bobcat Soccer Ranked #9 in NSCAA Southeast Regional

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University soccer team (2-2) clawed their way into the ninth slot of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Regional Rankings.
The Bobcats went undefeated this past week, not allowing a single goal against Anderson University and Florida Tech. Anderson came into the game having outscored their opposition 15-2, including a 9-1 win over a conference foe. The Bobcats shut out Anderson 3-0 and followed two days later upsetting the No. 13 Panthers 1-0.
Major highlights of the games include two assists from freshman Brittaney Borror (Evans, Ga.) in the victory over Anderson while two of her classmates, Alex Knight (Loganville, Ga.) and Taylor Yee (Alpharetta, Ga.) scored the first goals of their Georgia College careers.
In the Florida Tech contest, senior Ally Treat (Fayetteville, Ga.) scored the lone goal of the contest as goalie Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.) had six saves, including a crucial save with 40 seconds left in the game.
Georgia College returns to action Sunday, Sept. 19 hosting Barry University at 1:30 p.m. at home in the 2010 Little Feet Invitational.
