MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) office announced the Preseason Women’s Soccer All-PBC Team Friday, with Georgia College & State University putting three seniors on the 12-member team.
Goalkeeper Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.) and defender Jessica Binkowksi (Cumming, Ga.) join midfielder Ally Treat (Alpharetta, Ga.) on this year’s preseason all-conference squad. Only 2009 regular-season champion Columbus State University had as many players make the team.
A two-time postseason All-PBC honoree, Plunkett became the first All-American in program history a year ago. She posted a 0.59 GAA, 86 saves and a .896 GAA last season.
Binkowski is also a two-time All-PBC selection, aiding the team to a 0.71 GAA and nine shutouts in 2009. Treat is a force in the midfield while also helping on the offensive end, to the tune of a goal and ranking second on the team with four assists a year ago.
Bobcat soccer is back in action Friday, Sept. 3 at noon facing Florida Southern College at the Little Feet South Florida Shootout in Boca Raton, Fla.
