Second Half Goal Sinks Bobcats at #10 Columbus State, 1-0

COLUMBUS, Ga.  Falling victim to a second-half goal for the third time in the last two weeks, the Georgia College soccer team (7-6-1, 4-3-1 PBC) dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision Saturday at No. 10 Columbus State University (14-1-1, 7-1 PBC).

CSU's Stephanie Lowery netted her 13th goal of the season just 1:41 into the second half to provide the win.

Bobcat goalkeeper Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.) made seven saves in eight tries in the loss, while the Cougars' Willi Babillis stopped all four shots she saw.

CSU out-shot Georgia College 21-7 and owned a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Midfielders Ally Treat (Fayetteville, Ga.) and Karen Bonilla (Manassas, Va.) had two shots apiece to lead the Bobcats.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., traveling to USC Aiken.
