This is the first such honor for McAlpin and the third this season for the Bobcats.

The Newnan native headed in the game winning goal Wednesday with just 38 seconds left in overtime, pulling out the 2-1 win over conference foe USC Aiken. Saturday, McAlpin hooked up with Daria Owen (Snellville, Ga.) to assist Jamie Nevin (Grovetown, Ga.) in the 1-1 tie with the University of Montevallo.
