MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University soccer program is happy to host Bobcat Soccer Camp June 21-24 at Bobcat Field on West Campus.
From 9 a.m. to noon each day, youngsters have the chance to learn the game or fine-tune their skills and have more than a little fun in the process. Aspiring soccer players from ages 6-to-12 have a chance to learn from members of one of the top Division II soccer programs in the southeast.
Head instructor and graduate assistant Mary Byrne was a four-year member of the Bobcat soccer team during one of the most successful stretches in school history. Byrne was a senior member of the Bobcat soccer team that garnered the program’s first national ranking and made Georgia College’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament in school history in 2008.
