MARTINEZ, Ga.- Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.) of the Georgia College & State University soccer team (8-1-2, 2-1-1 PBC) took home another Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Goalkeeper of the Week honor as announced today, Oct. 7 by the conference.
The award is her second-straight weekly honor and third overall this season. Plunkett tacked on 11 saves after two vastly different games this week. The defensive line helped her shut down Lander University Wednesday for a one-save shutout, her fourth of the year. Saturday against Armstrong Atlantic State University was a shootout, as Plunkett came one save away from her career high by stopping 10 of the 12 shots in the 2-2 tie. The six-foot sophomore still leads the PBC in GAA at 0.42.
