MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- Georgia College & State University women's soccer team has clawed their way to No. 4 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Regional Poll. This marks the highest ranking in school history for the Bobcats, who are third among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams with a 6-1-1 overall record. Georgia College is undefeated at home and has yet to allow a goal at home as well.
"We continue to make progress as a team and are heading in the right direction. We are very thankful for the recognition in the polls as it reinforces all the hard work we are putting in", said head coach Juan Pablo Favero. "For this to be the highest the program has been ever ranked is an extra motivator for our girls to keep doing what we are doing and work extra hard to get better."
Favero continues, "We have a very tough week ahead with two excellent Peach Belt opponents. We will have to be at our best on Wednesday against Lander and again on Saturday against Armstrong Atlantic, since all that matters is the games at hand and not what you did last week."
The Bobcats will host Lander on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Bobcat Field.
