AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University fall sports have given the Bobcats a great start in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Commissioner's Cup Standings, released by the PBC this month. The Bobcats stand third among the 11 PBC member schools.
The standings are based upon program finishes in each sport, comparing the finish to the best possible finish each program could achieve. Georgia College earned 18 of a possible 25 points, good for a .720 rating.
GCSU finished third in both women's soccer and men's cross country, adding a fourth-place finish in women's cross country.
Columbus State University earned a 1.000 rating, while Armstrong Atlantic State University was second at .733. Just behind the Bobcats was Augusta State University at .719.
Georgia College has never finished better than fifth in the Commissioner's Cup Standings, earning that slot in both 1993 and 1997.
