MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Women's Basketball program and head coach Maurice Smith released the 2017-18 Bobcat Women's Hoops schedule Monday, featuring 11 regular-season contests in the Centennial Center.
The season starts with the PBC-SAC Challenge at No. 24 Wingate University. The Bobcats open the season against the host Bulldogs, Friday, Nov. 10, and face Anderson University on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Peach Belt Conference (PBC) action begins on the road this season, as the Bobcats get conference play started at Lander University Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. The home opener for the Bobcat Women is Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m., hosting Augusta University.
2016-17 PBC Champion No. 5 Columbus State University comes to the Centennial Center for Senior Day Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
The home portion of the season schedule finishes with Georgia College's annual Homecoming contest is Saturday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. against the University of North Georgia.
The Bobcats went 15-12 in 2016-17, making a trip to the PBC Quarterfinals. The Bobcats return five of their top six scorers from a season ago, led by All-PBC selection Alyah McGriff (Suwanee) at 15.1 points per game.
