GC Women’s Basketball Team Receives Votes in Top-25 for Sixth Week

LILBURN, Ga. – The Georgia College women's basketball team has received votes for the past six weeks nationally in the USA TODAY Sports Division II Top-25 Coaches' Poll. The Bobcats went 2-1 last week, with the lone loss to another team receiving votes in the poll.
Georgia College (13-4, 6-4 PBC) received 21 votes in the Week Nine Poll released Tuesday. Three other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams also received votes. The University of North Georgia is ranked No. 21, while Clayton State University and Young Harris College received seven and six votes, respectively.
The Bobcats played three games in six days last week. Georgia College started the week with a 78-59 home win over GRU Augusta last Monday followed by a 72-48 win against USC Aiken Jan. 22 at the Centennial Center. The Bobcats ended their week with a loss at YHC, 59-45 Jan. 25.
The USA TODAY Sports board of coaches is made up of 33 head coaches at Division II institutions and they are all members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
