Bobcat Women Pummel Patriots, 75-51

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College women's basketball team (4-3, 2-0 PBC) continued Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play undefeated Saturday afternoon when they took down the Francis Marion University Patriots (5-2, 0-1 PBC) at the Centennial Center. The Bobcats would lead early and cruise to a 75-51 victory over the Patriots.

Georgia College was led by offensively by Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga.) who had 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. She added five rebounds, three steals, three assists and a block. Keys has four 20-point games this season.

Junior guard Thresia Elskamp (Potosi, Wis.) just missed a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore forward Enisha Donley (Loganville, Ga.) scored a season-high 18 points on 9-of-14 shooting from field.

Junior Krysta Lewis (Woodstock, Ga.) continued her hot play off the bench with 10 points and seven caroms. She now has double-digit scoring in four straight.

As a team, the Bobcats out-rebounded the Patriots by a 48-to-27 ratio, as every Bobcat that played pulled in at least one rebound. The Patriots shot 3-of-18 (.167) from behind the arc, compared to the Bobcats' 8-of-14 (.571).

Francis Marion was led by 18 points and five rebounds from Tiara Gause; she shot 8-of-20 from the floor. Kristen Dickerson added 14 off the bench.

The game's scoring started on a three-point play from Keys on the team's third possession. The Bobcats never trailed.

The Bobcats will be back in action after the holidays when they host the Stair South Classic Dec. 30-31. After UNC Pembroke battles Coker Dec. 30 at 4 p.m., the Bobcats will host Tuskegee University.
