Bobcat Women Look to Defend PBC Tournament Title in 2011-12

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball program and head coach Maurice Smith announced their 2011-12 schedule Thursday attempting to repeat as Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament Champions.
The Bobcats play two exhibition competitions against Division I opponents Auburn University Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. and Mercer University Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m.
The women open up their season in the friendly confines of the Centennial Center, playing host to Anderson University (S.C.) Friday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. GC travels to North Georgia for their first conference game of the season Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. The Bobcats play their first home PBC game against No. 13 USC Aiken Friday, Jan. 14.
GC faces off against PBC foe No. 6 Lander University in Milledgeville Saturday, Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. The Bobcats play NCAA National Champions and No. 1 Clayton State University at home Tuesday, Feb. 7 set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
Senior day is set for Wednesday, Feb. 15 against PBC opponent North Georgia at 5:30 p.m. The ‘Cats close out their season at Clayton Saturday, Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
