GC Athletics Announces Promotions Schedule for 2012 Basketball Season

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Athletic Department announces their promotional schedule for the 2012 Bobcat basketball season, featuring eight events beginning Saturday, Jan. 14.

The GC men’s and women’s basketball team starts off the 2012 year at home against USC Aiken, where the Zaxby’s Kids Zone will take place. The Zaxby’s Kids Zone will take place on every Saturday doubleheader during the conference season. It will feature a bouncy house, coloring station, kids sized basketball hoop and other fun events throughout the day.

Pack the House in Pink is set to raise awareness for breast cancer. This event will be featured Feb. 1 when the basketball programs face off against the University of Montevallo at 5:30 p.m. The event will be run by the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.

The Lake Country Gymnastics squad will be joining the Bobcats Feb. 4 to perform at halftime of  both games when the Bobcats meet Georgia Southwestern starting at 1:30 p.m. 

Other promotions to be included are Battle of the Cats, Spring Sports Day, Children’s Miracle Network, March of Dimes Night, Faculty Appreciation Night, Homecoming and Relay for Life Night.
