MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga) of the Georgia College women’s basketball team (3-11), was named the most recent Bobcat Athlete of the Week. This marks the third time Keys has earned the award.
The freshman certainly didn’t disappoint this week, scoring a team-high 41 points in the Bobcats pair of games. Her 19-point effort Monday night clinched the Bobcats’ first Peach Belt win of the season, as she was 5-of-10 (.500) shooting from the field and 8-of-12 (.667) from the charity-stripe.
She continued the streak against No. 14 USC Aiken, scoring a game-high 22 points with three rebounds.
Bobcat basketball continues Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m. with “The Battle of the Cats II” against Augusta State University.
