MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) of Georgia College women’s basketball team (13-4, 5-4 PBC) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week, as announced by the sports information office Feb. 1. This is her fifth athlete of the week award this season and ninth overall.
Jordan averaged 17 points per game this week as the Bobcats split two contests. She scored 25 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in a loss to Francis Marion University Friday, Jan. 28. It marked the ninth time Jordan as scored 20 points this season. In the win over UNC Pembroke, Jordan managed 11 points, grabbing eight boards. She also delivered the game winning assist to Dominique Huffin (Tucker, Ga.) who drained a three at the end of regulation.
The Georgia College women’s basketball team takes on North Georgia this Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the Centennial Center.
