GC Women Move Up Two Spots in Latest Region Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball (18-6, 10-6 PBC) team moved up two spots in the most recent NCAA Division II Southeast Region Poll, released Wednesday, Feb.23. The Bobcats are currently ranked No. 4.
The Bobcats moved up thanks to a pair of wins over Georgia Southwestern State University and Columbus State University last week.
Fellow Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members Clayton State University, Lander University and USC Aiken rank No. 1, 2 and 3 ahead of the Bobcats.
The ‘Cats are also receiving votes in USA Today/ESPN Division II Coaches Poll released Tuesday, Feb. 22. This marks the fifth consecutive week Georgia College has received votes in the national poll.
GC has also secured home game for the first round of the PBC Tournament. They will be the No. 2 seed in the PBC West Division, hosting the No. 3 seed Columbus State Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats will play at North Georgia Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m. in their final regular season game.
