Women’s Basketball Ranked #5 in Region Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – In the NCAA Division II Regional Rankings released Wednesday Georgia College women’s basketball team (14-5, 6-5 PBC) was positioned No. 5 in the Southeast Region.
This past week, the Bobcats went 1-1 with a win against North Georgia 63-55 at home and a loss on the road against No. 2 Clayton State University 87-61.
The top three spots stayed the same with Lander University at No. 1 with a 20-0 record. At No. 2 was Clayton State, who has a 21-0 record and No. 3 USC Aiken at a 15-4 record.
The poll is used to determine the five at-large bids to the NCCA Tournament in March.
The Bobcats are back in action at home tonight against Augusta State University (7-4, 1-12 PBC) in the ‘Battle of the Cats’ at 5:30 p.m.
