Women’s Basketball Drops to #4 in Region Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball team (14-4, 6-4 PBC) has slid back one spot to No. 4 in the Southeast Region Poll as announced by the NCAA Wednesday.
GC went 1-1 on a weekend road trip last week losing, to Francis Marion University, 73-55 and beating UNC Pembroke, 48-45. The Bobcats have already started off this week strong, defeating North Georgia, 63-55.
Lander University still holds on to that No. 1 spot at 20-0, 19-0 in the region. Clayton State University and USC Aiken take the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.
This poll is used to determine the five at-large bids to the NCAA tournament.
The women travel to national No. 2 Clayton State Saturday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m.
