MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball program and head coach Maurice Smith will be holding an open tryout for all high school seniors and junior college players April 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Centennial Center in Milledgeville, Ga.
In order to tryout, participants must bring a current physical taken within the last six months along their high school or junior college transcript. Participants will also need to fill out a waiver form. Those under the age of 18 will need their parents to sign the waiver. The women’s basketball team finished the 2010-11 season with a 22-7 overall record, while going 11-6 in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC). The Bobcats went on to win the PBC Tournament Championship and participate in the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
