Jordan Grabs Sixth GC Athlete of the Week Honor

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) enjoyed an outstanding week, earning Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament MVP while leading the Bobcats to the PBC Tournament Title. The guard now adds another Georgia College Athlete of the Week to her accolades.

Jordan scored a whopping 68 points in just three games for the Bobcats, shooting 26-of-66 (.394) from the field.  She also grabbed 31 rebounds, tallied nine steals and dished out 11 assists.

In GC’s PBC semifinal win over No. 4 Lander University, Jordan recorded a double-double as she netted 28 points and 15 rebounds.  Even more impressive, 24 of her 28 points came in the second half.

Jordan also starred in the PBC Championship, scoring 26 points and pulling down 10 boards against No. 12 USC Aiken.

This marks the sixth Georgia College Athlete of the Week Honor for Jordan, the most by far of any Bobcat student-athlete this school year.

Jordan and the rest of the Bobcats head to Morrow, Ga. Friday, March 11 to take on five-seed Barton College at 8 p.m.
