Women’s Basketball Adds Another for Next Year

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball team and head coach Maurice Smith are pleased to announce a new commitment for the 2011-12 squad. 

The Bobcats have signed current high school senior Jasmine Williams from Fairburn, Ga.  Williams has played four years under head coach Lady Harmon at Arlington Christian School, leading the team to a perfect 32-0 record and 2009-10 state championship.

Williams averaged 17 points per game to go along with 11 rebounds, five blocks and two steals her junior season for Arlington Christian.  She has also led the team to an impressive 15-0 start this season.

She was named to the 2009-10 All-Region team and received the team’s Best Defensive Player Award as well.
