MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. –The Georgia College women’s basketball team (14-5, 6-5 PBC) and head coach Maurice Smith are pleased to announce the signing of Hollyn Phelps.
Phelps is a native of Carmel, Ind. She is currently attending Chattahoochee High School finishing her senior season playing under coach Erik Herrick. Phelps is currently averaging eight points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists per game.
Phelps was named defensive player of the year, MVP of the Hooch Classic Holiday Tournament and was awarded the academic scholar award. Her team finished 19-10 last season, winning the region championship along with the Hooch Classic Holiday Tournament.
The Georgia College women’s basketball team is set to face-off against Columbus State University Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
